Soul Stories – July, 2011

The basic idea was to create a space to tell the stories of our souls — the part of us that knows our true place in the world of things, that feels the deepest calling in life.

One part was interpersonal: Every Saturday morning in July, I sat in a park with a sign, holding space for wanderers/seekers/journeyers/etc to tell their individual stories.  I listened, and occasionally asked questions or mirrored.

Other part was collective: exploring the archetypal side of story-telling through music, poems, myths, etc. We had a “music ‘n story” night to celebrate this, and provide an opportunity to create and share (not just consume) the art that moves us.
